More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Developing close and meaningful relationships with those around me. I'm passionate about learning new things and developing as a person, and caring about other's development as well. I also love my stupid little dog. :)

I typically spend my leisure time

Ballroom dancing, training my dog, riding motorcycles, hanging out with friends, reading, cooking, gardening, camping, road trips, visiting relatives, etc... I enjoy being with people and caring about them and being cared about by them in most any context. I love finding new and exciting ways to spend my leisure time. Got some new ideas?

The most influential person in my life has been

Integrity, loyalty and a committment to growth, truth and goodness. I like people who are fun loving, responsible, interesting, and carry the weight of their own lives.

The first thing people notice about me

People notice that I am a sincere, intelligent, funny and honest person and someone who is a good and kind listener who is committed to God in a non-religious way. People feel supported and encouraged by me and enjoy my witty sense of humor and creativity.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"What Doesn't Kill Us." It is a book which focuses primarily on growth resulting from hardship and how significantly painful events can inspire and create growth and widsom for those who seek it. It is a very encouraging and helpful book for anyone who has had painful events impact their lives. I also enjoy reading Soren Kierkegaard and CS Lewis. "The Road Less Traveled" by Scott M. Peck is also one of the most life-changing books I've ever read as well as his work "People of the Lie." I enjoy Patrick McManus books and of course, Calvin and Hobbes cannot be forgotten. :)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am the most thankful for having the capacty to continually grow and learn from life.
  2. I am the most thankful for the friends and family in my life.
  3. I am the most thankful to be a content person, with or without a relationship. Peace in. Peace out.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I guess I don't expect people to know everything about me at first blush. I enjoy deep, meaningful and enriching relationships both with family and with friends. I have had many diverse life experiences which helps to make me a pretty rounded person. I am loving, supportive, loyal, etc..., and as soon as these words exit my mouth, I realize that I'm beginning to sound like an advertisement for a pound puppy. Geez. I'm a very open person, so there really isn't much that is hidden about me.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Good listener, Kind, Spiritual

A little more about me

I am a sensitive romantic, but I'm also practical and supportive; encouraging mutual autonomy. I tend to be a deep and caring person, avoiding superficial relationships. I'm also very responsible, honest and direct, though never cruel. I have many accomplished skills and hobbies. I'm an artisen, a poet, love music, cooking and ballroom dancing, restoring classic automobiles, etc... You name it, I can do it. I'm also a very loving and supportive parent and potential step-parent. I was raised with horses and other animals. Though I've become a bit of a city slicker, I still enjoy the country life, camping, traveling and the great outdoors.
