More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am fascinated by human nature...I love art, especially creating it...music is very important to me, the environment and the organisms within it, health and nutrition interest me, mechanics and how things work..and I am a new student of politics...(unwillingly at first but now I enjoy it!) Thrills...things that are risky and scary, I've been skydiving, scuba certified, used to race MX in Florida, motorcycles, motherhood (grin), breaking young horses and re-training dangerous ones, interviewing intimidating people and feigning complete confidence, getting tattoos (ouch!) learning how to improve my business (or, humbly, how to run it!)

I typically spend my leisure time

Anything outside. Museums, traveling, exercising, shopping, fishing, bonfires, volunteering for habitat for humanity, the wildlife rehab, the food bank, as a therapeutic riding instructor, the library, shenandoah park, flea markets/thrift shops, making sculptures, mosaics, pencil sketches, researching life's facets, meditating

The most influential person in my life has been

I want him to be comfortable enough with himself before he decides to be with me. He shouldn't need me..he should want me. He should be everything he wants to be when he's with me.

The first thing people notice about me

People notice that I am warm, and they notice I'm often deep in thought somewhere..but they notice I smile when I catch their eyes. Always.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"the horse boy". It is about the parents of an autistic boy, who discover the healing power of horses and shamanism. With this discovery, they go to Mongolia where both are intertwined, and they take their boy for a few thousand miles on horseback to healing shamans, hot springs, different mongolian tribes, all on horseback. It is a true story. It is shocking. Please, please read this book. I also read "Raising intuitive children", "the secret", "transformations; art by alex grey" and "Elmo learns about seasons".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The health and vitality of my son.
  2. My creative and artistic abilities, and my wide range of interests...being dynamic!
  3. My experiences....the good and the not so pleasant.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I do have things to say...I just need a few more seconds to get it out...if they could be patient, it would be worth hearing.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Generous, Intelligent, Passionate

A little more about me

I like red wine and spanish food. I like tractors and four wheelers, I like when I have to dress up and work in DC, I like ridiculous TV shows and I like movies that are scary and deep, I would love if someone got me a room and a spa day at the Ritz but camping and fishing and smelling like a bonfire is just fine, too...I guess I'm trying to say I don't fit in one small box.
