More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about going into nature, both with groups and on my own. I like to hike and backpack. My partner doesnt need to be a backpacker but if she was that would be great. I would want her to be an avid hiker and nature affectionato. I also like to go to museum, art, and music events. My tastes in those areas spans a broad range of interests and I love to share such activities with close friends and the like. I like kids and sharing the above experiences with kids. I like "nerdy", smart, well behaved kids who repect reasonable adults. Finally, I must add cooking to the mix. I love to cook for people who are appreciative!

I typically spend my leisure time

I pretty much covered this point in the things which I am passionate about. For me the belief about a thing and the feeling of passion must translate into doing or an activity. So I see this question and the previous one as closely related. In my leisure time I like to fulfill my passions as much as possible; therefore, I get outdoors to hike, etc. I cook and entertain; or I go to art, museum, or music events.

The most influential person in my life has been

I want a woman who has her life together. She knows who she is and can communicate that in a cogent and meaningful fashion. She is ok with alone time and in fact needs it but is also aware of wanting a partner to enrich and deepen her life.

The first thing people notice about me

I pay attention to them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read 'The Help'. I liked learning about how life was for people during that time. I enjoyed how the main character (and others) were able to break through stereotypes and other barriers in order to make meaningful, human contact with each other. The book was inspirational.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for having an occupation where I can make a good living by being of service to others.
  2. I am thankful for the wonderful friends and other close personal relationships which bless and support me daily.
  3. I am thankful for sound physical, emotional and mental health and well being.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am wonderful in all the ways that count. Of course I am bragging. But you just might find out if you give me a chance!
