The one thing I am passionate about...
I have a passion for exploring new places and things. I love going to flea markets, farmer's markets and so on. Finding a bargin is even better! I also have a passion for the outdoors. I love camping, hiking, horseback riding. I can start a great campfire. I'm not afraid to get dirty. I love to laugh! LIFE..it is what you make of it.
I typically spend my leisure time
In my spare time I usually head to the gym or when it is nice out go for a long walk. I love being outdoors and seeing what is going on in town. Sometimes, I also enjoy curling up with a good mystery novel or watching my DVR'd episodes of "Downton Abbey" or "Boardwalk Empire".
The most influential person in my life has been
I am looking for someone who can handle lifes ups and downs. Life isn't easy and sometimes will bring us a storm when we least expect it. You don't have to be Superman and swoop on in and declare, "I'm here to save the day!" Looking for that special person who will hold my hand make a joke and say, "We will get through this together."
The first thing people notice about me
My personality. I have had many people tell me that. I usually have a smile on my face and will say, "Hello" to most anyone. My best friend once told me, "I'd have a hard time liking someone if they didn't like you."
The last book I read and enjoyed
"The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. I read this book nearly two years ago long before a movie was optioned to be made. The way the author wrote it in pitch-perfect tone was simply mind-blowing. It will forever be a favorite of mine.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My daughter and the love she brings to me.
- Thankful for my health and well being.
- A great support system of family and friends.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My generosity towards others. I am a firm believer in treat others the way you wish to be treated. At work I often buy our seniors little things such as Lifesaver mints, a can of Pringles or bringing them a favorite cup of coffee from McDonalds. Seeing their eyes light up as bright as a Christmas tree and give me a heartfelt "Thank You" and a hug just warms me up like a steaming cup of hot cocoa.
Friends Describe me as
Energetic, Happy, Loyal, Outgoing
A little more about me
I am far from perfect, I have made mistakes but no regrets. I figured by this stage in our life we all have a past and we learned to move on. Found this quote not long ago on some quote website. I printed it out and read it every morning. It is now my life mantra: "Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."
