The one thing I am passionate about...
I have a variety of interests, but I have three big loves: sports, movies and travel. Since I work in the world of athletics, it is safe to say that I enjoy most sports immensely. Let's just say that Wimbledon and the Kentucky Derby are on my bucket list. One of my favorite activities is going to the movies and studying their history. I'm a big classic movie fan. Finally, nothing is more rewarding to me than traveling. I'd rather create memories any day over having material goods. I'm always planning my next trip.
I typically spend my leisure time
In what leisure time I have, I enjoy going to the movies. There is nothing like seeing great cinema on the big screen. Movies like Titanic and Jurassic Park are that much better on the big screen. I also love to travel. I am a big fan of big cities with their hustle and bustle and any place that has a lot of history. England is my favorite place in the world for this very reason. I also enjoy attending sporting events or participating in them. While my first love is college football, I also enjoy things like tennis, baseball, and basketball.
The most influential person in my life has been
There isn't one thing that I have to have in a guy, but a sense of humor certainly helps. The more you laugh the better off you are. One can't be funny all the time, nor should they be, but a genuine small and light-hearted attitude goes along way.
The first thing people notice about me
I make people feel very comfortable. I've been told that you meet me and it feels like you have known me forever. I have a positive attitude, most of the time, and true interest in people and their lives. Everyone has a story to tell.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Unfortunately I am not a big reader. I've been offered many times to join book clubs, but it is a commitment I can't make. I will say the last book I read I enjoyed greatly. That was "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. It was was a romance novel with a Christian theme set in California during the Gold Rush. I'm not usually a fiction reader, but it was an uplifting and an enjoyable book.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am blessed with great parents. They have been married for over 30 years and prove to me that happy marriages do exist. They constantly make me laugh, but more importantly, I knowt they will be there for me no matter what. It is of great comfort that I know I can tell them anything and not be judged.
- I have wonderful friends. My friendships mean a lot to me. It continues to amaze me that some of my best friends I have known for over 20 years. I may not talk to them on a daily, or even monthly basis, but once we get together it is as if no time has passed at all. They don't judge me or criticize me for not contacting them more often. They know my job keeps me busy and are they there to help me keep my sanity.
- I am very thankful for my job. I've always believed that quality of life is more important than a monetary one. I've been at my same job for over six years, and have worked my way up the ranks. While it can certainly be stressful and take up a lot of my time, I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I enjoy working with athletes immensely and nothing gives me more pride than seeing the naive and misguided freshman graduate a confident person. Sports have always been a big part of my life, so the fact that I get to work in a career dealing with them, makes me feel blessed.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am stronger than I look, both mentally and physically.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Genuine, Intelligent, Sweet
A little more about me
I would like to think that I have a variety of interests. I'm the type of girl that loves to go shopping and get cocktails with friends on Friday night but be up and ready to watch "College Gameday" on Saturday morning. I love to travel and experience new places and people, but I'm also a bit of a homebody.
