More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm young and financially independent so enjoy traveling to visit family and friends as often as I can. I enjoy classic movies ans have quite a collection. Big fan of Turner Classic Movies. I try to enjoy the little things in life cause they add up quickly.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy several TV shows: Castle, Bones, Burn Notice, and Psych. Reading is another way I spend my time. Like most things I don't have a favorite book but enjoy a variety of authors. To name a few: John Grisham (The Testament); Jeffery Archer (As the Crow Flies); Khaled Hosseini (Kite Runner); Gregory Maguire (Wicked); Francine Rivers (Mark of the Lion Trilogy) J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter); J.R.R. Tolkien (LoTR); Marion Zimmer Bradley (Mists of Avalon); Ted Dekker (Thr3e; the Circle Trilogy); Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games).I also enjoy gardening and just hanging out with friends.

The most influential person in my life has been

Confidence, honesty, dependability. I need to be able to trust what he says and does.

The first thing people notice about me

They notice pretty quickly that I am quiet. I warm up after awhile but initially I observe people and situations.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Quiet: the power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking. It addresses differences between introverts and extroverts. It tries to counter the cultural attitude that there is something 'wrong' with introverts and look at why there is such an emphasis on extrovert traits in the modern culture. As an introvert, I find this book fascinating because I can relate to a lot of what is discussed.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. A supportive, close family
  2. Growing up an Army brat
  3. Personal values and faith

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My humor, which tends to be sarcastic and often nerdy, and that I can be pretty silly.

Friends Describe me as

Good listener, Loyal, Quiet, Rational
