More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

design including home design, nature - like planning a photographic safari to Madagascar or Kenya, reading, film, cooking together, learning something new - almost anything, stupid stuff like watching Survivor, optimizing our smartphones or other tech, working together to benefit a worthwhile cause, listening and learning about music whether harpsichord or now music

I typically spend my leisure time

reading, film, theaterworking on Ipod playlistswalking, nature, photography

The most influential person in my life has been

I value integrity, courage, independent thinking, self-awareness and kindness. I also appreciate someone who is smart but unassuming, witty a complete bonus. Seeks a healthy lifestyle most of the time. So if you also like reading and travel ...and some clealry not fashionable music or other cultural trends ...

The first thing people notice about me

That I may ask more questions rather than go on and on about myself.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A few: The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferris- very creative thinking by the author; Seriously, I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres - I love her humor; Betrayal by Karen Altvegen - good Scandinavian mystery writer with less violence than some other authors;Living by Zen by Brenda Shoshanna - great approach to living in the present; Eats, Shoots and Leaves which is a humorous and informative book about language and grammar. The Seven Levels of Intimacy - recommend for anyone looking for a new relationship. These are representative of what I like to read.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. having a close family
  2. having a job
  3. having a rational mind & having learned from past experiences

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I really haven't discussed this with people.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Loyal, Optimistic, Rational

A little more about me

Life is made up of more "every days" than the 4 or 5 weeks of vacation I take a year. So it's important to me to make the 'every days' the best they can be and enjoy the little things. I've traveled to several countries; would like to go to French Polynesia and South Africa. I enjoy the outdoors, biking, walking, day hikes and Pilates but I'm not an athlete so if you're looking for someone to do triathalons with it's not me! I enjoy nature - checking out the birds, wildlife and doing a bit of botanizing - while getting some exercise.I've eaten out a lot and now appreciate a fresh organic meal made with care at home.
