More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Things that interest me include running, reading, good movies, good dinners, good company... not sure if these are things I'm "passionate" about. But, they're all things I enjoy.

I typically spend my leisure time

My top three favorite things that I like to do with my leisure time are running (though I usually fit that in in the morning before work), reading and walking through town lazily - maybe grabbing a bite somewhere and just enjoying the day.

The most influential person in my life has been

Authenticity and sense of humor are the most important qualities to me. I don't want to wonder if someone is being genuine, or what they're "really thinking". I think that you get to a certain point in life when you feel the way you feel and it's better to share it with a partner rather than not. Would be great to find that someone who you clicked with and had chemistry, but wouldn't you want to know if you don't? And, then, there's sense of humor. Just too many things in a day that can make you laugh out loud if you have the right perspective. I guess I find humor in lots of things, because I find myself giggling all-of -the-time :).

The first thing people notice about me

I think people probably notice that I'm generally happy, high energy and a bit sarcastic. It's not me all of the time, but is probably how I come across from day to day. It goes back to having the right perspective - I'd rather have a positive approach and find humor in things, then get weighed down by the negative.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm reading 11/22/63 right now... about going back in time and preventing the assasination of JFK. I like the fact that it's got multiple stories wtihin the story line. I also like the fact that while it's clearly a work of fiction, it applies basic truths to the premise, like the butterfly effect and historical fact.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I wake up every day healthy, safe and go to a job I like very much. I think that if you wake up healthy - you're good to go.
  2. I have amazing friends who are like family to me. I'm definitely someone who doesn't have a ton of friends, but the ones that I do have are incredible. I prefer quality over quantity :).
  3. I'm blessed with the ability to do almost anything I want to do. Not that I do half of the things that I think I'd like to do, but when I'm ready, I know I'll be able to... How lucky is that?
