The one thing I am passionate about...
I am most passionate about the relationships in my life. I enjoy time spent with friends & family, gardening, nature (especially the changing seasons), good food & wine, music, and travel - they remind me of God's gifts to us! On the less spiritual side, I gotta say that there is nothing like live theatre! Also, I must admit that I get a kick out of some of those traditional girly things, like purses and shoes, but material things are really not important.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy spending leisure time catching up with friends and family. I currently spend a lot of quiet time reading, or web surfing, but I'd prefer to be more active with a partner. I miss evenings dining out and going to the theatre, or simply going for a walk after dinner at home.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm alright by myself, so am not willing to settle . . . if you are out there, I'm looking for my strong and tender Christian husband. I am yearning for my true partner in faith, who wants to grow together and discern how we are to serve our Lord together. I need you to be a lover of truth; kind, but honest; financially secure and responsible; confident, yet humble. Finally, you must not be afraid of intimacy (physical and emotional), because you'll have to let me in and help me learn what pleases you, and how to show you love . . . actually, that sounds like it could be a lot of fun!
The first thing people notice about me
I asked my best friend, and she answered that I have a pleasant face - especially eyes/smile. She hopes that I find that special man, who will add more sparkle to my eyes, and help me smile more often!
The last book I read and enjoyed
"The Alchemist," by Paulo Coelho is the last book I read, and I enjoyed it because it was complete fiction and took me to places in history that I could never go. It was especially fun, because it was the first book I read on my new e-reader, plus it had been a long time since I read something purely for entertainment.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I'm most thankful for my faith, because it helps me see people ( and the world) more clearly.
- I'm so thankful for the ability to give and receive love and support from friends/family.
- I'm thankful for the simple beauty of nature - the changing seasons, that speak of God's design
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I am a thoughtful person, and I choose my words carefully, so when I'm quiet, please don't assume I'm being aloof . . . I'm just thinking.

A little more about me
I'm working on becoming more fit and healthy, because I deserve it, and so does my future partner. If you're an encourager, let me know. If you're curious about my results, check back in a few months - my son's wedding is next summer, so I have plenty of motivation!
