More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about writing. I really enjoy taking the pieces of "ideas" I have and creating a cohesive, final paper or other document.

I typically spend my leisure time

If I were to have a day off, I'd choose to spend time with my son, family, and friends. It would not matter much to me "what" we'd do together--it would matter most that we had time together. Alternately, I do enjoy going to see a new movie or trying a new adventure.

The most influential person in my life has been

a person with integrity....it says so much about the small and the big things one chooses, the way one treats others, and the respect one gives to others. I am seeking someone who is intelligent and witty; balanced and passionate; open, real, and not afraid to be themselves. The person I'd like to meet would value more what is inside than what is outside. This person would value similarities as much as differences. They would rather be happy than "right".

The first thing people notice about me

People often comment on my smile. I'm a happy person; so, my smile comes from the inside more than from something outside (but those smiles are good, too.)

The last book I read and enjoyed

I recently re-read "Letters to my Daughter" by Maya Angelou. It's just such a lovely and inspirational work (and a quick read).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I'm most thankful for my friends and family as they love me unconditionally and believe in me.
  2. I am thankful that I am willing to try most anything new because I'm not afraid to fail.
  3. I am thankful for my freedom and all those who sacrificed for that freedom.
