The one thing I am passionate about...
Love to cook and to share the kitchen to make dinner for two or prepare for a dinner party. I started taking culinary classes several years ago but was (happily) interrupted with the opportunity to go work abroad for about 18 months. Travel is high on my priority; local, regional, or abroad. I was infected with the Travel Bug many years ago when I was first sent to Asia/Pacific & Japan by my employer at the time. Since then I have worked and traveled for pleasure to a decent number of places (not that all of the destinations were what I would call decent).
I typically spend my leisure time
During the summer I spend a significant amount of time in my back yard with flowers, gardening, and enjoying the pool.I seek out events and festivals and enjoy taking the path less traveled in order to see things from just a slightly different perspective.
The most influential person in my life has been
My quest is not to seek out the ?perfect woman? but rather to find the perfect woman for me that is my best friend, my advisor, and my companion as I would hope to be for them. Relationships are a balance of give and take (clich I know) but without it, there can never be a true relationship for me.I have three grown children and two grandchildren and it is difficult at best to get everyone's schedule coordinated during the holidays. But spending quality time with family is important to me; mine and yours.Bottom line, balance between us and our families will be key to our success.
The first thing people notice about me
I am usually always smiling.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. Still working on The Lost Symbol. I was hooked on Michael Crichton for a while as well as Clive Cussler.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My children and family.
- My career.
- My health.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I cannot say that there is really anything I wish people knew about me. I am who I am and if you want to know more, just ask or become a friend.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Generous, Happy, Passionate
A little more about me
I am not a sports fanatic. I could not tell you what game is on tonight (or likely any other night). It is not that I dislike sports but the truth is that I simply have no great love for watching or playing sports. I would rather spend time traveling (love road-trips to see what there is to see), tinkering in the garage with my woodworking, chilling by the pool, or puttering around the yard and garden. I pretty much find anything to do outside.
