The one thing I am passionate about...
Loving Jesus and loving people. Though I'm far from perfect, it really comes down to those two priorities. They are what drive my actions and decisions. I'd also say I?m a pretty motivated person. I think it?s important to seek growth opportunities, set goals and stretch yourself (in all areas of life). I am passionate about helping others do the same. I?m a ?cheerleader? at heart and love helping people realize and use their gifts/talents to make an impact in their spheres of influence. I also have a huge heart for social justice. On a lighter note: I love running (full/half marathons), college football, and live music ;)
I typically spend my leisure time
I love live music (especially outdoor concerts!), running and training for various races, discovering fun new restaurants and cafes with good friends, soaking up all the things a city has to offer (arts, music, sporting events, festivals, etc.), and of course, I love to travel and explore new cultures and places...
The most influential person in my life has been
The guy who catches my attention is one who blends integrity and kindness and walks closely with the Lord. I?d say I?m a blend of playful & serious and I?d love to be with someone who can balance me in that-help me not take life too seriously (loves to laugh!), but who is goal-oriented and wants to push one another to be more than we are on our own. I am committed to growth and adventure and it?d be really fun to find someone who values the same. Also, if he manages to throw in some witty banter?well, he?ll have just won me over ;)
The first thing people notice about me
I genuinely want to connect with them! I have a deep desire to make others feel welcome and cared for and I am typically the person making sure someone is not left out of the conversation and that their opinions are heard.
The last book I read and enjoyed
"Let's all be Brave" by Annie F. Downs. I love reading books that communicate important concepts and lessons through personal stories.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- the people who have challenged me and encouraged me in my faith.
- my dependable and loving family and friends
- the opportunity to have lived in Florence
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I recently landed in NYC after living in Italy for six years. It was an absolutely incredible, frustrating, beautiful, life-changing experience. I am so grateful for the ways I have grown because of it.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Genuine, Good listener, Loyal
A little more about me
I?m usually the first person to welcome the new kid at the party, and often the last one to leave the dance floor. My Bible and InStyle magazine are the 2 things that always make it in my carry-on, and I love sushi and marshmallows (not together ;). I love fall in America because of college football, not pumpkin spice lattes. I often ask lots of questions out of genuine curiosity for the other person, but then get scolded by my friends for not talking enough about myself! I love art galleries and running in the cold. Oh and it should also probably be noted, I make a mean chocolate chip cookie.
