More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about The Lord. I owe everything to Him and He comes first in my life! I have no idea where I will be in the next year or really the next couple of months but I love that! I will be going to Grad school in the fall and that could be a school here, or in Missouri, or Tennessee, or even Indiana. I have no idea. I am just going where ever God leads me and doing everything I can to follow what He has laid out for me. The number one thing, to me, when it comes to being a Christian is to trust God. Trust is such a huge part of loving someone and so to truly love God, you must also be able to trust Him.

I typically spend my leisure time

Going to concerts, road tripping, spending time with my pups, hiking, and kayaking!

The most influential person in my life has been

Their love for both The Lord and His children. I know that just sounds like a Sunday School answer..... but it's the truth! This person would also needs to be nice, not just to me but to everybody. It is very easy to be nice to people who are like you and think the same way you do but to be genuinely kind to those who are completely opposite from you... that is an admirable and Christ-like trait to have.

The first thing people notice about me

My Smile ?

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Last Book I read was The Bible. I was studying Acts chapter 1. The biggest take away I found in this chapter is TRUST. In verse 4, "wait for the Father's promise" referring to the gift of the Holy Spirit which was soon to come.... that requires a great deal of trust. Then Jesus deflects the disciples question by reminding them to not worry, only trust. Trust that God does everything in His perfect timing. It is also made clear that we are not only to become Christians but we are to go out "to the ends of the earth" and reach out to non-believers. He is reminding us that Jesus had a missionary heart and so we, as Christians, should also.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. God
  2. My Family
  3. Laughter

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people understood that I am not actually shy once you get to know me. I have a tendency to listen more than I talk when I first meet someone. I enjoy learning about people and getting to know and understand them better.
