The one thing I am passionate about...
I can't really narrow it down to one thing. Dogs. I love dogs, probably since I grew up in a home we bred them for show. Movies.Photography, specifically black and white. I've dabbled in it myself but am unfortunately out of practice.Writing. I play with it but really just love the art of storytelling in all it's forms.Poultry. I know it sounds strange but I love raising poultry.I also really love learning about other cultures and their religions in order to converse about my own, it makes for better doorways that way.
I typically spend my leisure time
Taking my dogs out for a walk.Talking with family. Getting together with friends.Road trips especially down some unknown road.Movies.Write.I love live theatre, specifically the classics. I've seen numerous plays and would love to see more.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for a best friend. Someone I can laugh with, go for a walk with, travel with, try a new restaurant, or just sit back and watch a movie with. I enjoy doing activities on my own but would love to find a partner in crime. I'm looking for someone who will challenge me and whom I can challenge right back. I am Christian and find it to be an interesting journey, so I want someone who is on this same path.
The first thing people notice about me
My smile and I tend to be a bit quiet at first but that's just because I'm more of the 'take it all in' type rather than the 'bulldoze my way into a room' type.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I'm going through Oscar Wilde at the moment and am greatly enjoying that. I've also just started 'Answering Islam' by Norman Geisler. Since I've only just started it I can't say overall how it is, but what I've read so far I've found interesting. His other book 'I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist has also been a fascinating read.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- God. I just find the study of him fascinating and seeing how He's touched my life and others
- Family. We've been through a lot together so they are an important support system.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Good listener, Happy, Spiritual
A little more about me
I'm a bit of an introvert, which means I appreciate my alone time (though this can include that special someone). I smile easily, laugh as often as I can, and make a great listener. I love debating issues, but I don't like to argue just for the sake of arguing. I can be passionate on some topics but for those I know little about, I generally prefer to listen and learn. I am close with my family, especially my younger sister. Family means a great deal to me. I'm a bit of a geek but I'd like to think adorably so. I'm a down to earth girl kind of gal. And that's me in a nutshell:)
