The one thing I am passionate about...
My faith has always and will always be a big part of who I am. I regularly attend church and participate in church functions. My relationship with God is important to me. I won't sacrifice my morals or beliefs for someone or something else. I would love to meet someone who can hold his own in Bible study, but also enjoy a good sci-fi movie or a day at a theme park.
I typically spend my leisure time
Usually, I spend my time hanging out with friends or binge-watching "The Office" or catching another Harry Potter Weekend. I like to take walks in the evening when it's not too hot. I really enjoy painting. And cooking new and different things is a lot of fun.
The most influential person in my life has been
He should always put God first. It needs to be his commitment to Jesus and then everything else. If God is first in our relationship, then the relationship will thrive. But after that, I really want someone I can be nerdy with. Let's go to Harry Potter Trivia night and kick butt. Let's wear Disney shirts and stay up all night riding Space Mountain until we're sick. Let's chase Pokemon around the neighborhood blasting the theme song from our phones. I want to be best friends with him. I want to go to midnight releases for Star Wars. Life is too short to be so serious. (Also, dogs are non-negotiable. He must LOVE dogs.)
The first thing people notice about me
I have really long hair. It's usually up because it drives me crazy. So when I take it down, people aren't expecting it and it draws a lot of attention.
The last book I read and enjoyed
A Dog's Purpose. I really appreciated the characterization of the main character. But I really liked the idea that a dog could love its master enough to follow him through life trying to find him again. But it was a really good and easy read, despite crying at the obviously sad moments.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My dog, Riley. He's a great reminder of where I'm headed.
- My friends and family. They always have my back when I need them.
- Books. I have secret worlds to escape to when life is just too much sometimes.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My creativity. But that's just because where I work doesn't allow for a whole lot of creativity.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Generous, Good listener, Loyal
A little more about me
I value intelligence, even if my brain turns itself off at inopportune moments and leaves me grasping for the right word. I work hard to ensure that my responsibilities are done correctly the first time. I feel strongly about my beliefs, but I never put anyone else down. I am protective of and loyal to my friends and family. I love almost any kind of dog and yes, I will totally talk to dogs on the street, dogs in their cars, dogs in the window. I have more books than clothes. And I am very good at planning and cooking -- but I go overboard with both.
