More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My life directive is to live life well. I enjoy going a little out of my comfort zone to learn new things. Joining eHarmony, learning to kayak, and walking a glacier in Iceland are a few of my more recent forays out of my comfort zone. Family and friends are important to me and I love gatherings with them. I travel a lot and love cruising. I also enjoy live theater and concerts. (The Bushnell, Goodspeed, and Tanglewood are my local favorites). I enjoy quiet dinners with a special man, the ocean, visiting Vermont inns and the Berkshire Hills in Massachusetts.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy exercising at my local YMCA (not fanatically but to stay healthy). I love driving my little Miata MX5 just about anywhere especially along the Maine coast. I enjoy seeing a great movie, dancing, and listening to music. I enjoy picnics on the beach, taking long walks, quiet dinners with a special man and a glass of Moscato. I like to read nonfiction, particularly biographies of interesting people. I love being with family and friends. Life would be incomplete without them.

The most influential person in my life has been

I like smart, thoughtful, and considerate men. I want to meet a man who shares my interests, values, and enthusiasm for living life well...a man who is willing to participate in making the time we share together interesting, meaningful, and fun. Long term relationships develop over time. I want to meet a man who appreciates this and who is willing to give the time needed to see if we are a "fit".

The first thing people notice about me

The first thing people notice about me are my eyes and my smile. I'm told that I have beautiful eyes and a warm smile that makes you want to smile back.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I have a beautiful red haired blue eyed 2 yr. old granddaughter to whom I love reading. Our last read together was "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family and friends; especially my beautiful red haired blue eyed 2 yr. old granddaughter.
  2. Great health. It allows me to be fit, active, and to explore new and interesting adventures.
  3. Financial security and a positive outlook. They allow me to enjoy this journey called life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm a multi-dimensional person. I'm more than a list of interests, books read, and activities enjoyed. Although I may not be a "10" on the surface, It's important to look beyond that surface and see the truly beautiful person who is there. She's the real "10".
