The one thing I am passionate about...
Finding you of course! Aside from that my lesser priorities are creation of business relationships. I am a great matchmaker in getting businesses or professionals to interact with each other on a professional level. On a personal level not so great . . . . I also get involved in different causes that interest me at the time. From teaching job training skills at a homeless shelter, serving on non-profit boards, volunteering at the foodbank, working with youth, to volunteering my physical labor skills ? somehow the shovel gets passed my way a lot :-).
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy spontaneity! As a hopeless eclectic, I?m open doing anything and going anywhere. From curling up on the couch to watch a movie; hiking in the Gorge; testing my skills at iFly; taking a day trip to the mountains, desert, or ocean beaches; or walking along the waterfront looking at the boats. I also love hanging out with friends and family as it seems that there is always something to do or go.
The most influential person in my life has been
What kind of a woman am I looking for? Well that?s easy, the last one and I have plans to spoil her greatly :-). And yes, I do know how to do that! I want her to feel adored and I constantly look for the little things that make her feel special. For example, doing the dishes, hiking to her favorite picnicking spot, going clothes shopping for her, walking along the beach, talking day trips or longer vacations, taking a nap on the couch, visiting with family and friends, etc. I?m always thinking. . . . :-).
The first thing people notice about me
What people notice about me is that I am approachable and a great listener! I feel I do that very well at that until an attractive woman starts talking to me and I?m like a teenager asking a woman out on her first date. So, my well-intended words come out all jumbled, jittery, and not in the correct order. :-) And, of course, my antiperspirant quits working and then I realize I forgot to buy breath mints . . . . Did I say I was a great listener????
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read and enjoyed was ?D-DAY Through German Eyes?. I always knew about that event from the American side and the horrors on that dreadful day but I never heard it from the German soldier perspective. Reading that book really personalized the fears of what both armies had to endure.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My beautiful grandkids!
- My beautiful kids!
- My parents for allowing me to have this chance at life!
