The one thing I am passionate about...
In a nutshell, I'm a fan of Broadway shows, a foodie, and a traveler. Living in NYC has given me the opportunity to grow my love for musical theater. As a bit of a foodie, I appreciate good food and enjoy eating out both at casual & nice restaurants. I also enjoy cooking - although I'm not a gourmet chef, I cook simply & healthy. I've also been fortunate to travel throughout the U.S., Europe & Asia over the years, which has fostered my love of traveling. I really enjoy taking in the sights, food, culture & art in different cities. Traveling has also turned me into an amateur photographer as I like to capture all of
I typically spend my leisure time
While I regularly enjoy cooking at home, I also very much enjoy unwinding at a restaurant and eating things I have no idea how to cook. LOL. Shopping for groceries isn't a chore, it's something that's exciting for me! HA. I really do love attending Broadway shows and watch them frequently often both via lotteries/rushes and at times getting advance tickets. I also appreciate classical music and periodically go to symphonies & concerts. I like walking in Central Park or even around the city and exploring all the things NYC has to offer. I enjoy unwinding on the sofa, watching a movie at home or catching up on a TV show or sport
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for someone who is thoughtful, supportive, caring, unselfish, and someone who can be a wonderful companion and someday be my life partner. I'm seeking someone who enjoys being in my company and is excited to do as much as possible together in life. I want to find someone who can be proud of us being together, be accepting and willing to share time with our families and friends (I am willing to do so too!). I am ready for a long-term and lifelong relationship and am looking for someone who feels the same way.
The first thing people notice about me
My smile. People say I have a nice smile and that I'm a naturally happy person. While that may sound cheesy, I think it also says something about my outlook on life. I'd say I'm generally an optimist - a glass half full person.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- A loving family
- Good health (it's priceless!)
- A stable job
Friends Describe me as
Dependable, Easy-Going, Happy, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I admit I'm a bit more reserved, but open up well once getting to know someone. As an Asian-American, I honor and respect my Chinese heritage. I was brought up in an English environment though, so I can only speak enough Cantonese to order my favorite dishes in restaurants. LOL. I tried a year of Mandarin in college...it was hard learning and has been impossible to retain without practicing it. Separately, while my family lives on the other side of the country, they have and always will be a special part of my life. We've always been a close-knit family from the days of me growing up through to today.
