More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm always on the lookout for new experiences, new ideas, and new adventures. Learning more about the world around us (through cultures, sciences, or spirituality) helps us grow as individuals so I'm always on the lookout for something new to do and someone fun to do it with.

I typically spend my leisure time

I'm an avid reader, movie / TV watcher, but am also very social so it varies quite a bit. Sitting at home on the couch watching a movie is just as much fun for me as checking out a new restaurant, a concert or faire.I'm also a craft beer fanatic. Every trip to the liquor store results in at least one new brew and weekends are typically highlighted by trips to breweries or restaurants with large beer menus.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important thing I'm looking for in a person is definitely the ability to challenge me. Challenge me to further investigate our shared interests, to try new things, or to re-investigate things I may have not given full attention to in the past. Of course having things in common is also necessary - I just have reached a point where being comfortable all the time is overrated. So yeah, challenge me and I promise to return the favor!

The first thing people notice about me

I've been told that I just look "generally welcoming" which I can tell you is both a blessing and a curse. When I'm meeting new people it makes it easy to become friends quickly. It also tends to invite the awkward check-out line conversations where a stranger goes into depth about their medical problems.

The last book I read and enjoyed

This is easy, "Cloud Atlas." I've yet to see the movie but the book is a masterpiece. I can't wait to read more David Mitchell and eventually re-read this book.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. It's a clich´┐Ż, but Family and Friends. They keep me grounded while pushing me forward.
