The one thing I am passionate about...
I work with a rescue. I have fostered over 110 dogs/pups over the last 2 1/2 yrs. I spend a lot of my free time volunteering for this rescue and two others (on occasion). On weekends, you will often find me volunteering at an adoption event or facilitating meet and greets for dogs and their perspective adopters. I have three rescue dogs of my own. (He must love dogs). I love to sing. It is not only a hobby, but a passion.
I typically spend my leisure time
No matter what type of day I am having, music can soothe my soul. I enjoy listening to music, as well as singing. I enjoy a good concert or going out to see a band. I love most types of music, but especially enjoy music I can sing along to. Singing is a hobby and a passion.I enjoy outdoor activities, whether its laying on the beach, playing volleyball, or camping. I just typically prefer the warmer months over winter.
The most influential person in my life has been
I am hoping to find great chemistry with a partner who is loving, supportive, confident (but not arrogant), financially secure (not necessarily wealthy), grounded, and above all trustworthy. He should be someone who knows how to have fun and doesn't take life too seriously. He should be able to express himself and be open to me doing the same. He should be willing to compromise and willing to try new things.
The first thing people notice about me
People notice an aire of confidence. However, that confidence was not always present. Back in elementary school and High School (Actually even in my first few years of college), I would be petrified to get up and present something tot he class. Whenever I had to give a presentation or do an oral report, my voice would stammer and I would shake...Once I even broke out in hives. I was anxiety ridden when it came to public speaking. Ask me about the "thing" that helped me to boost my confidence.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My daughter: If there is one thing I can say I did right in my lifetime, it is raise my daughter. She has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I love her more than anything.
- My health: I try to keep things in perspective. I am grateful for good health.
- My daughter's health. Again, keeping things in perspective. A person you love can be taken from you in the blink of an eye. I have learned to never take a moment for granted.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm always driven by good intentions.
Friends Describe me as
Dependable, Funny, Loyal, Outgoing
A little more about me
I am looking for someone who is really ready for a committed relationship. Of course, I don't expect that right away... It needs to develop naturally, and we should have fun in the meantime. However, I have been divorced for close to 10 1/2 years and I am most likely at a completely different stage and in a completely different mindset than a person who is recently divorced. If you are not ready to be open to the idea of a real relationship developing, then I am probably not the girl for you. I am looking for someone who can find time for me and the relationship we share. I am cautiously optimistic he is out there somewhere.
