More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love exploring nature and getting outdoors - I live in an amazing place and look forward to exploring it! I also enjoy simply being able to reflect and connect with the natural world. I am lucky to have a career that allows me pursue these activities, and in some really spectacular places, but I also enjoy exploring new places when I get a chance!

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy hiking to connect with nature, reflect, and stay active. When I'm at home, I love reading to learn new things, expand my horizons, and look at things differently. I also enjoy music, both listening and, when I get a chance, playing the piano, and cooking.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone to share life's experiences with...its more fun to travel and have adventures with someone to talk to about them! I?m looking for someone to share all of these these times with and who can truly be a partner in life's journey.

The first thing people notice about me

They generally notice my quiet/reserved nature, but also my kindness and generosity. I can be very passionate about issues and activities that I am committed to, however and can be quite outgoing when I'm with people I know or share common interests with.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I stumbled upon a book titled "A Paradise Built in Hell" - basically about the creation of communities in response to natural (or unnatural) disasters. It seems particularly relevant in the context of recent events, but also really hopeful about human nature.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends and family, who have always been supportive and encouraging.
  2. My job - where I get to do archaeology, which I love, and share my knowledge with others.
  3. Living in a community that is friendly, open, and enthusiastic about science and nature.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

While I come off as reserved and quiet at first, I actually enjoy conversation and getting to know people, and can be quite outgoing when I'm with people I know.

Friends Describe me as

Generous, Intelligent, Kind, Quiet

A little more about me

I've moved (to the middle of nowhere) for work, but love to travel and explore new places. This is just a stop along the road, not a place I want to spend the rest of my life (although I do like it here) and am willing and looking to relocate when the time is right. I am 2 hours from Las Vegas and about 4 hours from LA. I'm willing to try a long-distance relationship and am looking for someone who feels the same. I also have 3 cats (long story...). I'm not the crazy cat lady, but they are an important part of my life.

I am
Very Liberal
