More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Connecting with people, laughing, having adventures, travel, dancing, theater (movies and live), learning, reading, cooking and hosting friends and getting into the great outdoors. A lot of these are connected by a basic love of what I call story telling - hearing people's stories (fictitious in art or real around the dinner table) and through knowing a person's story, having loving friendships and family ties.

I typically spend my leisure time

Going out to eat, staying in for a fun meal, going for a picnic - ok, so food is a delight. But not the calories, for the TASTE.Love to see many forms of theater; film, plays, any kind of concert involving singing, movies, dance, musicals, and am curious to explore opera.Out of doors: hiking, biking, swimming, adventuring, exploringWhen I have a day off the perfect day would be morning swim, great breakfast, hike or bike, massage, shower (sex somewhere there) and fab dinner

The most influential person in my life has been

A man who is open with heart, mind and soul. Comfortable with himself and looking to create joy and embrace challenges with me and my family, as I would with him and his. Curiosity and caring both musts.....as well as laughing often.

The first thing people notice about me

I wouldn't presume to know

The last book I read and enjoyed

Loved the book Devil in the White City especially because my son is the one who recommended it to me and we had great conversations about it. I am finally in a great book club and so am reading at least a book a month - mostly fiction but right now really enjoying Kearns Goodwin's book on Lincoln and the quartet of men he rose to power around and how they shaped our country's consciousness and principles. Also fan of Ann Patchett because she shows us what people reveal about themselves when placed in extraordinary circumstances. Her recent book of essays is really about her life's work (writing) and how tough it is to practice gr

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children
  2. My great genetics for longevity and good health
  3. Today

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I've been an 'expatriot' here in the east for 30 years and loved raising my kids here but mixing west and east would be ideal going forward.I love adventure and try to create it frequently in small ways - a good way to live each day with attention to what a gift each one is!
