More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My family, my friends, my work and my dog! I'm also passionate about my writing and what I feel is my mission in life, which is to help others tell their story. I like experimenting with different forms of storytelling and a wide variety of ways of gathering information. Finally, I love, love, love to read and talk about books. And I love being with people who love to talk about books and big ideas, and who would like to go for long walks with me and my dog! If you don't read a lot, no worries! I just hope you don't mind if I like to talk about what I read. And we'll talk about what you like to do too!

I typically spend my leisure time

Connecting through conversation, walking my dog along or with others, and just about anything outside. Also, love going to plays, the opera, and out to dinner. Also, love cooking dinner at home!

The most influential person in my life has been

A great guy who likes to have fun and laugh. The ideal person will be happy with his life, even if he is striving to make it better in some way. He will have good values and appreciate time spent with friends and family. He'll know what he likes, but also be open to new experiences.

The first thing people notice about me

... I like to smile and I am friendly.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Gandhi, An Autobiography: The Story Of My Experiments With Truth. It was assigned for a class I was taking as part of my master's program. It was full of small details that, together, gave me a picture of the man behind the myth. It also provided me with new insight into what "truth" means, always a good thing in a day and age when such an important value is sometimes overlooked. My favorite book of all time is James Joyce's Ulysses. But I love reading just about anything. Looking forward to some summer beach reads!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family, friends, and the people I work with ...
  2. My neighborhood. I love living here.
  3. My health and happiness.
