Meet Eric and Harmony, whose first date was St. Patrick’s Day 2007, three years ago today. Married since August of last year, they are the quintessential eHarmony couple—and have the moniker to prove it!
Because of our names, we are officially the “eHarmony” couple to our friends and colleagues. My first initial is “e” and my wife’s name is “Harmony.” We met on eHarmony while I was living in Virginia Beach and she was living in Richmond, VA. Our first official date was on St. Patrick’s Day in 2007. After that first face-to-face date, I started driving up to Richmond every weekend, until moving here in August of that year. We got engaged on November 22nd, 2008.
In August 2009, we were married in Montego Bay, Jamaica, joined by 10 family and friends. We’re currently in the process of building our first home; the inter-office emails with our builder refer to us as “eHarmony.” Again, we can’t escape the name coincidence and people love it when we tell that we did, in fact, meet through eHarmony. We’re very excited about our future and together, and couldn’t be happier that we took that step and signed up for eHarmony.
Sometimes people ask if there is a stigma to meeting online. We don’t think so. Why would anyone be embarrassed about meeting the love of their life? Without eHarmony we would have never met. We were both looking for that true connection, and eHarmony delivered. So, from us, “e” & “Harmony,” we thank you.
