He told me he was coming up to see me the next day. I said no you want, call who ever you are bringing the New Year with. I have choose not to date since so I could find myself. I’ve went on a dating site in the last month but haven’t had any dates. I know what I want now and will never allow this to happen to me again.

I was in a nowhere relationship due to his culture and religion. Was I his token non ______? Probably. We have a connection and we also had 10 yrs of building to that level of connection- but that is not a reason to stay though. He was my safety net and I found myself having to repeatedly tell myself to just let it fade out.
