Congratulations to Joseph Essas, who was just promoted to Chief Technology Officer.  Joseph joined eHarmony three years ago as our VP of engineering.  In such a short time, he has been instrumental in several growth initiatives within our company, including expanding our business internationally and creating a mobile platform.

In addition, Joseph has led a series of improvements to our matching process that has resulted in increased communication among our members, and he has formed a world-class computational science advisory board.

Joseph has over 19 years of experience in the information technology industry in various high-tech management positions (CTO, chief architect, and vice president of engineering). Prior to eHarmony, Joseph was vice president of engineering with Yahoo!, where he managed engineering teams for the search marketing division. Joseph attended Jerusalem College of Technology.
