eHarmony and its employees are always willing to lend a hand and open their wallets for worthy causes. In January, eHarmony matched employee donations to Haiti earthquake relief, resulting in $15,000 to the American Red Cross.

Earlier this week, we received a special visit from the American Red Cross to give us a personal “thank you” for our gift. Steve Schaefer of the San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter and Katie Stewart of the Washington, DC office stopped by to present us with a certificate and also let us know how our donations have been used to provide food, water and shelter for the people of Haiti. We are grateful for their dedication to helping Haiti and serving others affected by disasters both domestically and around the world.

In addition to the eHarmony donation to the American Red Cross, eHarmony employees gave a total of $10,000 to a wide variety of other organizations, including UINCEF, Doctors Without Borders, Mercy Corps, the Red Cross, CARE, and The Jewish Federation Council of LA. I’m really proud to work with such generous, caring individuals and to work for a company that springs into action whenever there’s an opportunity to help.
